What Timber Treatments are Available?

Our timber end-cut preserver is an ideal way to protect your investment. By sealing the end grain of slats and other timber products where a cut has taken place, customers can safeguard against several negatives.

This preserver penetrates the timber cuts to protect against weather, bacteria and insect damage – giving the wood an expected lifespan. This product comes in a 1-litre tin and is perfect for cladding or decking projects.

Barrettine Protective Timber Treatment is the perfect option for fence panels, gates, stores and slats.

The dark brown and black options have UV fade resistant colour pigments to help keep the colouring looking fresh for longer!

The protective treatment also contains a water-repellent resin and biocide film preserver, which secures against bacterial surface growth such as mould and algae. This helps reduce decay, swelling, and twisting of the timbers.

Owatrol Solid Colour Stain is available in four colours: black, grey, stone, and sea foam. It offers up to fifteen years of protection on bare wood vertical surfaces and can be used for other purposes, such as decking, which can last up to five years. Our product produces a modern matt-finish and comes supplied in 1-litre cans.

If you’re looking to restore some life to your aged timbers, Barrettine Timber Reviver is the perfect solution! This water-based product contains oxalic acid, a biodegradable organic acid found naturally in plants such as rhubarb and spinach.

Not only does this reviver help to restore grey and UV-damaged wood to its original colour, but it also removes stains caused by watermarks, rust, mould, and light dirt.

Timber Treatment Application Tips

3. Apply the finish  Once you’ve chosen a product, read and follow all instructions before applying. Use two coats of treatment with an even brush stroke pattern for long-lasting protection.
