Bespoke Wheelie Bin Store Features
Corner Door Stop
All our bin stores include a small and discreet corner door stop.
Flat Support Strips
These are used to strengthen and support the internal framework, whilst allowing easy access for your bins.
Lockable Latches
Stainless steel lockable latches are a discreet easy-to-use feature fitted as standard on all our doors. Please note the style of the latch may vary from the picture shown, and may be in silver or black.
Polymer Handles
On our open-lid bin stores, polymer handles are fitted, which are strong and resistant to rust and corrosion.
Chains
Our opening-lid bin stores feature a small chain, which is used to hook around your bin lid handle to allow easy access when disposing of your rubbish.
Lid Stays
Our open-lid bin stores can include lid stays at an additional cost which is used to keep your bin store lid open after lifting, making it easier to operate and use.
Wheelie Bin Store Customisable Options
Roofing Options
Customers can choose between a fixed-slatted roof, opening lids or a planter top.
Fixed Roof
The fixed roof option is just that: the roof is slatted in the same way as the back and sides and would require you to pull the bin out to accept your rubbish bags.
Opening Lids
Each bin store bay has the same number of hinged corresponding lids, a robust polymer handle for easy opening, and a small chain fitted as standard.
The chain comes fitted with a small carabiner clip and can be looped through the bin handle so that when the lid is opened, the bin lid opens simultaneously, making disposal of your waste bags easy. If you don’t have a handle on your wheelie bin and it is perhaps just a lip at the front that is used to open, simply drill a couple of small holes that the chain can pass through.
Planter Roof
The planter-top roof is a flat roof with a raised lip. It allows customers to add flowers and plants to the bin store’s roof, making it an ideal option for those wanting to add a unique feature. You must line the planter roof with the correct type of liner for your planting. We treat the flat section and internal lip with Black Jack bitumen to add additional protection, but this does not make the lid fully waterproof.
Remember: as with the fixed roof option, you will need to remove the bins to put in your rubbish bags, recycling, etc.
Back Options
The bin stores can be made with or without a slatted back section. The bin store still has the framework, but no slats are fixed to it. This reduces the cost of the bin store by the slats that are not used and is the perfect option if you are storing your Timber Bin Store against walls or fences.
Lid Stays
Stainless steel lid stays can be added to bin stores with opening lids to hold the lid open while you empty your recycling boxes, etc.
Please note that the lid will not fully open vertically if the lid stays are fitted.

Our bespoke wheelie bin store configurator can accomodate bin bays for any standard bin size: please use the below as a guide to check the sizes of your bins and should they differ then please use the next suitable litre sizing this way you can be sure that your bin will fit.

Internal Frame Options
We supply all our bin stores with two internal frame options: the matching chosen timber or the lower-cost alternative, Pressure-Treated Pine.
For example, if you choose a Western Red Cedar bin store with the matching framework, it will be built fully from Western Red Cedar inside and out. However, if you decide to opt for treated pine internal timber, this will reduce the cost. Visually, from the exterior, both bin stores would look identical; the only way you see this treated pine is when the doors or lids are opened.

Will my bespoke bin store come pre-assembled?
Our bin stores arrive flat packed, but are easy to assemble in under 30 minutes. For more information, see our bin store assembly video.
What are the different timber options for the bin stores?
Our handcrafted bespoke wheelie bin stores are available in premium Canadian Western Red Cedar, American Douglas Fir, or Pressure-Treated Pine.
You can also choose which internal timber your bin store is built with; our pressure-treated internal timber frame offers an affordable solution where more expensive framing may not be needed. Pressure-treated timbers are also resistant to rotting, bacteria and insect damage which provides a lifespan of ten to twelve years.
We are passionate about championing timber as a renewable and biodegradable natural resource. We only select sustainable suppliers vetted and approved by the PEFC and FSC.
Can I paint my bespoke bin store?
Yes, our bespoke bin stores are paintable. We recommend painting with a suitable outdoor product such as Owatrol Solid Colour Stain. The stain offers long-lasting protection for up to 15 years when used on bare wood vertical surfaces. It can also be used on horizontal surfaces such as decking which can last up to 5-years.
Are your bin stores suitable for storing buggies or prams in?
Our bespoke bin stores offer a “buggy bay” option that can be enabled on as many storage bays as you like. Our buggy bay is lined with marine plywood for added weather protection, making it the perfect outdoor storage solution for your prams and buggies. This could also offer weather-protected storage for other items that you may have, such as delivery parcels.
