Planed smooth on all 4 sides with a premium finish with eased/slightly rounded corners, which gives a far superior look when compared to a standard square finish and also has the practical application of not holding water when compared to square finished slats.
High-Quality A – Grade timber with the technical grade being number 2 or better with 15% of number 4, when shopping around other suppliers check if this is theirs is the same high grade so you can compare price and quality, home grown may sound great but unfortunately this does not compare to the Canadian quality.
Our slats are 44mm x 17mm so a little wider than the 38mm most other companies advertise, why does this matter? It would mean you need less of them when using the typical spacing of 6, 10, or 12mm which tends to be what most people go for and less slats needed means lower cost overall.

Cedar Interlocking Slat

Our interlocking slat is quite unique, it gives the finished look as our premium 44mm slat, with the same rounded corner finish, but instead of an actual gap it has a 5mm shadow line, perfect for clients who want the same contemporary look offered by the narrow slat, but with the added bonus of complete privacy.

Cedar is one of the most popular choices for DIY fencing and screening projects, and for a good reason — it’s naturally durable without needing any chemical treatment. The timber contains its own oils that resist rot, decay and insect damage, so once it’s up it largely looks after itself.
All our cedar slats are Canadian Western Red Cedar, planed smooth on all four sides with slightly rounded corners as standard. That rounded edge isn’t just a finish detail, it means water runs off cleanly rather than sitting on the corner and accelerating wear. Left untreated the timber will weather gradually to a silver-grey. If you want to keep the warm amber tone, a coat of Armourflex UV Protection Oil once a year is all it takes.
We stock three profiles: narrow (44mm), wide (94mm), and interlocking, so whether you’re building a slatted fence with gaps or want complete privacy with a shadow-line finish, there’s an option to suit. All available in a range of lengths, with bespoke cutting available on request.
Please note: We recommend using stainless steel nails, fixings and hinges on our cedar range as other metals can potentially cause staining and unsightly damage. Our Cedar is No.2 clear grade allowing for 15 – 20% of No.4. This is the industry standard.
