Tanalised Driveway Gates

Our Pressure-Treated Driveway gates provide customers with a beautiful and cost-effective way to enhance their property’s kerb appeal and security.

The gates are built using our tanalised fence slats, and framing timber resulting in a gating option ideal for UK homes.

The gates are available in several height options with a set length of 1800mm each (3.6m in total) as standard. Bespoke options are available upon request by speaking to a team member directly.

The low-maintenance gates can be left untreated and have an expected lifespan of between 10 and 15 years. Lifespan can be increased if the gates are maintained/treated regularly.

Please view our timber treatment offerings for more information.

High-Quality Tanalised Timber

Pressure Treated Timbers undertake a treatment process that helps safeguard panels, gates and furniture against negatives such as weathering, insect damage, rotting and bacteria.

This process is a system that maximises the durability of the wood, making it ready for use on most garden projects.

The process sees the damp timber placed inside a vacuum cylinder where the air is sucked out of the wood. Once dry, the timber is flooded with protective preservatives to fill voids left by the extracted air.

The treatment process ensures that all gates, bin stores and panels can last 10 to 15 years, potentially longer if treated regularly.

FAQs

Below are some of the most popular questions that we get asked daily. Please contact us directly if you require further info or have other questions.

Will Pressure Treated Timber Rot?

The pressure treatment process helps create a durable product that can last between ten and fifteen years if treated regularly. Find out more about pressure-treated timber here.

Can Pressure Treated Timber be Stained or Painted?

Yes, tanalised timbers can be painted and stained. However, we advise waiting for a couple of months of the treatment to fade.? Timber should be dry when applying a paint or a stain.

Are your Products Sustainably Sourced?

Yes, we only source timbers from sustainable sources carrying the likes of FSC or PEFC certification.

What is the Difference Between Pressure-Treatment and Dip-Treatment?

The pressure-treatment process is slightly more expensive but produces a longer lifespan due to preservatives pumped into the timber.

Dip treatment is a cheaper alternative that produces an ‘instantly stained’ look, although it requires regular maintenance.

Do you Offer Bespoke Options?

Yes, we can tailor our tanalised gates to suit most requirements. Contact us directly to speak with a member of our team.

What fixtures and fittings do I need?

We always recommend using stainless steel fixtures and fittings with our timbers to ensure they remain in perfect condition. Other fixings can chemically react within the wood, causing staining and bleeding.

Bespoke Gates

Our bespoke service covers you if you need a gate for your garden in a specific size that we dont sell as standard. We can customise gates in various options, perfect for any requirement.
