Tanalised Timber Slatted Gate

Our Pressure Treated slatted gates provide customers with a modern and durable gating option, ideal for UK properties.

The tanalised gate has the same style and durability found within other options but at a fraction of the cost of our premium Cedar, Iroko and Cambia alternatives.

The gates measure 1790mm high x 900mm wide and are made using our pressure-treated 44mm slats, and framing timbers.

Bespoke options are also available upon request.

Pressure-Treated Benefits

The Pressure Treated Gates possess several benefits that help to increase lifespan and safeguard against negatives such as the weather, insect damage, rotting and bacteria.

The pressure treatment process is a system that maximises the durability of the wood, making it ready for use on most garden projects.

The process sees the damp timber placed inside a vacuum cylinder where the air is sucked out of the wood. Once dry, the timber is flooded with protective preservatives to fill voids left by the extracted air.

The treatment process ensures that all gates, bin stores and panels can last 10 to 15 years, potentially longer if treated regularly.

FAQs

Below are some of the most popular questions that we get asked daily. Please get in touch with us directly if you require further info or have any other questions

Will Pressure Treated Timber Rot?

The pressure treatment process helps create a durable product that can last between ten and fifteen years if treated regularly. Find out more about pressure-treated timber here.

Can Pressure Treated Timber be Stained or Painted?

Yes, tanalised timbers can be painted and stained. However, we advise waiting for a couple of months of the treatment to fade. Timber should be dry when applying a paint or a stain

Are your Products Sustainably Sourced?

Yes, we only source timbers from sustainable sources carrying the likes of FSC or PEFC certification.

What is the Difference Between Pressure-Treatment and Dip-Treatment?

The pressure-treatment process is slightly more expensive but produces a longer lifespan due to preservatives pumped into the timber.

Dip treatment is a cheaper alternative that produces an instantly stained look, although it requires regular maintenance.
